Yes, you can compost bananas – and banana skins.
Before you compost the skins though, they can be used to nourish leather and to “polish” leafy plants – see Recycle This for more ways to reuse them around the home.
And don’t forget that overripe bananas are the best ones to use for making things like banana bread.
